    Mikael H. Snaprud was born in Oslo, Norway. He received a M.Sc. in mechanical engineering, from the University of Luleå in Sweden, 1986. He completed his doctoral thesis in 1995, on knowledge based systems at the University of technology, Vienna, Austria. Since 2000 he is employed as associate professor in ICT at the University of Agder where he is working on research related to research on Webmining applications for Accessibility and Usability.

    Initiator and co-ordinator of eGovMon, with co-funding from the Research Council of Norway, see also www.egovmon.no.
    Initiator and co-ordinator of the European Internet Accessibility Observatory (EIAO, co-funded by the European Commission DG Information Society and Media, under the contract IST-004526). www.eiao.net

    Main author and researcher on electronic commerce and SMEs for the European Observatory for SMEs 6th report, participation in design and analysis of a survey, prepared for the European Commission.

    Served on expert panels on ICT policy appointed by the Norwegian board of Technology, the Norwegian Ministry of Government Administration and Reform, and for the United Nations.
