The overall goal of the European eGovernment Awards - as well as the previous eEurope Awards Programme - is the promotion of good practice among the Member States of the enlarged European Union, the candidate countries as well as the EFTA countries. The aim is to facilitate the sharing of experiences and mutual learning from each other in order to meet the Lisbon targets and make Europe the most competitive knowledge-based economy by 2010.
The best applications are selected for exhibition at a high-level conference on the topic. The most outstanding cases presented at the conference are awarded with the prestigious European Awards Trophy for eHealth or eGovernment.
The following sections include information on past Awards in the field of eHealth and eGovernment, their objectives, key facts, winners, state-of-the-art research reports, exhibition catalogues, conference proceedings and, where available, pictures and video clips.
