Mr. Giannelos was born in 1968 in Athens, Greece and holds a degree in Engineering from the University of Patras. He started his professional career as a developer/designer in 1986 and has accumulated 22 years of experience in the IT sector. Since 1996 he has been involved in the implementation of eGovernment European-funded research and commercial projects as a Project Manager and/or Senior Consultant. His main fields of expertise include Knowledge Management, eGovernment Process Design and Reengineering and Online Accessibility.
During the last decade, Mr. Giannelos has lead projects in the areas of eProcurement (SIMAP, TED, OPOCE, TED Monitoring), eHealth (C-Care), Intellectual Property Rights (OHIM), Content Management (eAlicante), online Security (SECRETS), ePayment (SEMOPS) and Open Source Software in eGovernment applications (SECRETS, Limber) among others. He is a member of the Greek Engineers Society and has authored or co-authored several papers on the subject of computer-assisted Time Planning and Job Scheduling.
Mr. Giannelos has been working for European Dyanmics SA in its Athens offices for the last five years, undertaking several managerial tasks with emphasis on large-scale teams’ organization, design and implementation of eGovernment business processes and information management/aggregation/dissemination.
