    R. Erdem Erkul is an academician and the owner and editor of www.digital-government.net which is an e-government portal.

    Erkul conducted research at National Center For Digital Government, USA with Prof. Jane Fountain as a Doctoral Reserach Fellow in 2008-2009 Academic Year.

    He is a PHD candidate at the School of Political Sciences at Ankara University, Turkey. He is also working at Hacettepe University in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration. 

    R.Erdem Erkul who has publications and studies on e- government, web 2.0, Strategic Planning, Total Quality Management, New Public Administration, Informatics and Strategic Management

    His research interests are implementation of digital government as a public policy. He is also interested in issues regarding mobile government ( m-government ) .

    Erkul owns and edits the web sites www.digital-government.net and www.digitaldevlet.org, both of which have received many awards and been visited by over 5,000,000 people.

    He is a member of Executive Board of Turkish Informatics Association and he consults many digital government activities and awards.

    He is editor at Informatics Magazine of Turkish Informatics Association. Since January 2010, Representative of Turkish Informatics Association in Council of European Professional Informatics Societies (CEPIS ) in Brussels. Erkul, is a member of Turkish American Scientists and Scholars Association (TASSA).
