Loreta started her carrier as a teacher. As soon as the independence of Lithuania was announced Loreta was invited to join a Lithuanian-German Joint Venture and worked as a tour guide and interpreter. Two years later became an International Operations Coordinator in the travel agency Baltijos piligrimas. Since 1997 till 2002 she was employed at Lithuanian Banking Insurance and Finance Institute (LBDFI) where became a local Phare project manager in Training for Banking Community in Lithuania and Technical Assistance for the Financial Sector in Lithuania. When the Phare project was over she worked as a training programs manager.

In 2002 Loreta has been invited to join private business initiative alliance (association) Langas i ateiti / Window to the Future in the position of a Managing Director. The goal of Langas i ateiti is to increase the number of Internet users in the country and at the same time to decrease the digital divide of the country.
