Roberto Rosso joined Tesan SpA in 2000, where his main responsibilities cover the whole process of developing innovative services for Tesan’s customers (local healthcare & social service authorities), ranging from the identification of customer needs, through the definition of the executive project proposals, to overall project management. He is also responsible for the company’s R&D program, which focuses on the integration of portable medical devices within Tesan’s ICT infrastructure, tailoring hardware and software developments to the specific service needs of the end users and customer’s organisations. Roberto Rosso is currently running various project initiatives, among which, the EU FP7 project Chronious as coordinator, a strategic experimental project carried out by Tesan in collaboration with a local healthcare authority in Veneto. The project aims at testing the deployment of an innovative telemedicine monitoring system with support decision system and ontologies for chronic patients for the benefit of the institutional home care programs. Before joining Tesan SpA, he worked as R&D Project Manager within the industrial group Datalogic, a multinational company operating in the sectors of industrial automation. He’s author of technical papers presented at international conferences of telemedicine. He holds a first-class M.Sc. degree in electronic engineering at the University of Padua.
