Miguel A. Amutio graduated in Computer Science at Deusto University (Bilbao) in 1988. He joined the Ministry of Public Administrations in 1995.
Currently he is Head of Area within the DG for the Promotion of eGovernment in the Ministry of the Presidency of Spain.
He coordinates the development of the National Interoperability Framework (RD 4/2010) [1] and of the National Security Framework (RD 3/2010) [2] in Spain.
He has been head of the Spanish delegation in the managing committees of the EU Programmes IDA II (1999-2004) and IDABC (2005-2009). He is National sTESTA Coordinator of Spain [3]. He is member of the ISA Committee.
President of AENOR AEN GET 13 Risk Management, shadow of the equivalent ISO/TMB Risk management producing ISO 31000, ISO Guide 73 and ISO 31010.
He is member of the management committee of the Arrangement on the Recognition of Common Criteria Certificates In the field of Information Technology Security.
Member of the Spanish standardization body AENOR CTN71/SC 27, shadow of ISO/IEC SC27.
Member of the Advisor Committee of CENATIC.
He was head of the project "Criteria of security, standarization and preservation of information" [4] and member of the team Project of the risk analysis methodology "MAGERIT" [5]
He was coordinator of the working group of the Administration on open source software and he has received the Focus Prize in Malaga in 2008, during the OSWC 08, for his dedication to the promotion of open source software.
He is CISA and CISM.
His domains of expertise include cross-border eGovernment services, eGovernment interoperability, open standards, open source software, IT security and IT audit.
