Born in St Helens in 1962 J Peter was educated at Cowley grammar school before commencing employment in the local health authority. He was awarded BSc in Medical Laboratory Science by Liverpool John Moores University, and followed his career in biomedical sciences until 1991 when he was appointed head of laboratory services at Liverpool’s Lourdes hospital.
In 2001, after a short period of consultancy, J Peter made the transition into commerce, taking up the offer of the full time post of Technical Services Manager for Bio-Stat Diagnostics Limited.
In 2004 J Peter left to form JPBioMed, specialising in customer technical support and biomedical engineering. In the short period between formation and 2007, J Peter secured several prestigious contracts contracts, and was a preferred supplier to the Government’s Defence Scientific and Technology Laboratories in Porton down.
In 2007, J Peter was offered European position of Technical Services Leader supporting the recently established Medical Diagnostics business.
Recent changes have seen J Peter take on additional responsibility, and a change of position to Scientific Affairs Manager for Diagnostics and Clinical Services.
J Peter is married (to Nancy) and they have two children (Joel and Sadie) and one grandchild (Mason).
