Since October 2008 I am a doctoral researcher at Lancaster University Management School. Key aspects of my research include how people share their knowing in distributed communities; how people perform their membership in distributed communities and how people account for their actions in this virtual environment. I furthermore look into the role narratives play and research certain boundary objects and their rhetoric accomplishment (for further information see: http://www.lums.lancs.ac.uk/profiles/juliane-jarke/).

I hold a MA Philosophy from Hamburg University (2008); a MSc IT, Management and Organisational Change (ITMOC) from Lancaster University Management School (2007) and a BSc Informatics from Hamburg University (2005).

I have worked as a stagiaire in DG INFSO, European Commission (2008). Other eGovernment-related work experience includes a position as research fellow at Rambøll Management (2005-06) focusing on the implementation process of electronic document management and records systems in public sector organisations.
