Yannis Charalabidis is a Computer Engineer and holds a PhD in Information Systems Engineering from NTUA.
He has been employed as an executive director in Singular Group, occupying the positions of Project Director, Development Director, Strategy Director and Deputy General Manager. He has also been the Managing Director of Baan Eastern Europe Localisation Centre SA, based in Poland and Netherlands. Previous employments include Siemens-Nixdorf GmbH and Bull SA.
Currently he runs e-Government & eBusiness Research in the Decision Support Systems Laboratory -National Technical University of Athens, planning and coordinating high-level policy making, research and pilot application projects for Governments and Administrations Worldwide.
His scientific and technological interests include e-Government Interoperability and Standardization, eParticipation and Government Transformation.
He has published more than 70 papers in scientific journals and conferences, and he lectures on eGovernment in the National Technical University of Athens and the University of the Aegean.
