Konstantinos Tarabanis is a Professor at the Department of Business Administration of the University of Macedonia, Greece, and the Director of the Information Systems Laboratory at the same university. He received an MS in both Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science (1984 and 1988), and a PhD in Computer Science (1991), at Columbia University, New York, NY. He was a research staff member at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, 1991–1994. His current research interests include eGovernment, eBusiness. In recognition of his work in the field of eGovernment, he was the recipient of the Best Paper Award in the eGovernment track at the European Conference on Information Systems in 2000. Also in recognition of his work in the field of eBusiness, he received the Outstanding Research Paper Award in the 7th Annual Conference of the International Academy of eBusiness in 2007.
