The Czech Ministry of the Interior inaugurated on 20 March 2012 the new Public Administration Portal, a single electronic gateway to the Czech authorities' information and services.

Information for citizens, foreigners, businesses and entrepreneurs; secure direct login to one's data box; official bulletins, electronic forms - these are just some of the services that have been made available at the single web portal, which can be found at the link www.portal.gov.cz

The Ministry of the Interior merged three different portals (Public Administration portal; portal of access to data boxes; repository of public authorities) into one. In some cases, the three portals would offer almost identical services.

The aim is to provide a one-stop shop for individuals and organisations to obtain information on, and communicate directly with, the Czech authorities. The Ministry as the site's administrator and Czech Post as the technical provider completely revamped the look and feel of the previous Public Administration Portal as well as its functioning, so as to make navigation easier, faster and more intuitive.

The portal's target audience is made of: Czech citizens; foreigners living in the Czech Republic; entrepreneurs and businesses; public authorities.
