The 3rd Phase of Labs.OpenGov is dedicated to fighting bureaucracy. Comments and proposals for innovative technical solutions as well as any practical ideas with immediate effect on combating red-tape in the Greek public administration can be submitted until 6 September 2010.

Bureaucracy has been a major and continuous concern for the Greek government as it often causes people bottlenecks when dealing with the public sector.

In the current phase there are two main themes the users can participate in by submitting their ideas and suggestions. Thus, citizens, officials of public bodies and services, developers and designers are invited to submit:

The users of the Labs.OpenGov.gr portal will be able to comment, suggest improvements and evaluate all published proposals.

Upon completion of the 3rd Phase, the best proposals of each category will be selected based on the opinion of registered users and will be finally presented at an event. The Scientific Committee in charge of selecting the best proposals will take into account factors such as: the apt and accurate description of the problem, the maturity of the proposed solutions as well as whether the cost efficiency aspect has been taken into consideration
