75Â % of the Estonians who have used the public electronic services are very satisfied with them, according to the findings of a research study.
1020 Estonian residents were interviewed for this study, in the framework of the 'Information Society awareness' campaign, which is funded by the European Union Structural Funds in Estonia. The users stated that eServices help them save time, obtain the desired information much quicker and reduce the time as well as the bureaucratic obstacles they face each time they communicate with the public authorities.
In recent years, awareness among the Estonian's regarding the public sector eServices and different state portals and websites has improved. 83Â % of the Internet users aged between 16 and 74 years old have used at least once the public eServices. Furthermore, awareness of the state portal eesti.ee has doubled within two years.
The most popular eServices in Estonia continue to be the financial and tax services, in particular the e-Tax Board and the service of electronic filing of income tax declarations, followed by the social and health care sectors' electronic services.
