Since April 2010, the personalised eGovernment portal 'Mon.service-public.fr' has been enhanced with a service enabling its users to notify their change of contact details to twelve bodies at once. Â
Over 1.5 million moves take place each year in France. Moving is often associated with several inconveniences for citizens, in particular when they need to inform many interlocutors (both public and private) about their change of contact details, i.e. not only their postal address but also their landline and mobile phone numbers as well as their email address.
The online service "I am changing places of residence" has become "I am changing contact details" and all the aforementioned details can be communicated to several bodies (public, semi-public and private sectors) in a single click. To use this service, citizens only need to create their account on 'Mon.service-public.fr'.
The users are simply required to enter their new contact information on 'Mon.service-public.fr' based on the mail, certificates and consumption reports they have at hand. 'Mon.service-public.fr' then channels the information to the list of preselected bodies.
