The 'Electronic Gradebook' project was launched on 23 February 2010 at the 'Kole Nedelkovski' primary school of the Centar municipality of Skopje.

The 'Electronic Gradebook' is a student information system that allows parents to monitor online the grades, the educational progress and other information related to the school activities of their children.

The website of the Centar municipality hosts the link to the 'Electronic Gradebook'. Parents will have their own passwords to access information related to their children's progress, while teachers will be trained to submit data for each pupil.

The Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, together with the Minister of Education, Nikola Todorov, the Minister of Information Society, Ivo Ivanovski and the Mayor of the Centar municipality, Vladimir Todorovic attended the demonstration of the system. Mr. Gruevski, satisfied with the system, stated the following: "The system, which is has been developed by the Ministry of Education and Science, is a great initiative and it is expected to be implemented in every school of the country by autumn 2010."

The system will be applied to seven schools in the Centar municipality; currently, it is being used in the 'Kole Nedelkovski' primary school for a pilot period of six months.
