ADEME, the French Agency for Environment and Energy Management has recently launched a new web site on territorial climate and energy information.
The new website, www.pcet-ademe.fr, has been launched in the frame of “The Environment Round Table (La Grenelle Environnement)â€, which invites all communities with more than 50 000 inhabitants to establish a Territorial Climate-Energy Plan (PCET).
This site aims at facilitating the implementation of the Territorial Climate Energy Plan and acts as a unique database identifying information and useful tools for the concerned communities.
The site is divided into 4 main sections: the “methods†section, which presents an overview on the PCETs and on the necessary steps for their implementation and financing; the “actions†section illustrates the main fields where action against climate change should be taken; “tools†gives information on management and communication tools and introduces reference documents, while the section “observatory†monitors the actions so far taken and constitutes a discussion reference point for the communities through forums and newsletter.
