The State Enterprise Centre of Registers and the Ministry of Justice introduced on 28 January 2010 a new online service for the registration of sole proprietorships.
The new service allows setting up and registering officially a sole proprietorship by carrying out all the procedures via Internet.
The necessary electronic documents and applications are automatically generated by the system.
The documents which are to be submitted must be signed by the owner with a qualified electronic certificate (eSignature) distributed by the State Enterprise Centre of Registers.
As from the same date, the Internet can also be used to reserve a company name. This service is available not only for sole proprietorships, but also for all other forms of legal entities.
The online set up and registration of sole proprietorships was the first step of the relevant initiative of the Ministry of Justice. During 2010, the registration of other forms of companies will be made available online. The possibility to update the registered companies' data and to use all the other services related to company registration online will follow.
The company name reservation and its start-up and registration through the Internet are self-services provided by the Centre of Registers.
