The Slovenian Ministry of Interior launched an e-service through which organizers of public demonstrations and events will be able to electronically give notice/submit the announcement of an event or a demonstration to the police or fill out an application requesting official permission from the authorities, when necessary.
Organizers of public demonstrations and events can electronically give notice to the police stations of their municipalities in order to be granted official permission as foreseen by the Slovenian law. The application is electronically submitted -via an online form- to the police station, at least three days before in case of a public demonstration and at least five days in advance for a public event.
Additionally, organizers can electronically ask for permission for a public event from their local administrative units. The main reason for the requirement of permission in order to carry out a demonstration or a public event, such as sporting events and competitions- is for the state to ensure that citizens' lives are not in any kind of danger, for instance fire.
