Local Information Day on the European eGovernment Awards 2009
In order to promote the participation in the European eGovernment Awards 2009 of those cases submitted for the Guldlänken Awards, Vinnova (Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems) is hosting a Local Information Day on 6 May 2009 in Stockholm.
Those wishing to register may contact anna.bjurstrom@vinnova.se.
The Vinnova initiative is in line with the European eGovernment Awards 2009 Information Day hosted by the European Commission on 21 April 2009 in Brussels. Vinnova got inspired by the successful coordination and encouragement of participation in Austria, Italy and the Netherlands for the 2007 Awards, and by the "local information day pack" available on www.epractice.eu/awardsmediakit.
The information days such as those in Brussels and Stockholm offer a unique opportunity to learn more about this year's European eGovernment Awards, the submission and selection process, and the European Ministerial eGovernment Conference, entitled "Teaming up for the eUnion" (www.egov2009.se), to be held 19-20 November in Malmö, Sweden.
At the information day, all those interested in submitting a case for the European eGovernment Awards 2009 will be able to ask questions and will have the chance to meet members of the European eGovernment Awards Consortium and European Commission representatives.
Submissions for the European eGovernment Awards 2009 must be received no later than 10 June 2009 at 16:00 CET. Only online submissions via www.epractice.eu/awards are eligible.
