European eGovernment Awards 2009 cases can now be submitted online through the ePractice.eu portal. All public sector organisations from EU Member States, EFTA countries and candidate countries are invited to submit their good practice cases to the awards scheme.

By submitting a case, you can share your experience through the awards scheme and support the European Commission in its mission to improve the citizens' quality of life through ICT, increasing trust in government and public sector organisations and contributing to enhancing the competitiveness of companies and businesses.
You can submit your case and experience in the following categories:
A separate public prize will be awarded based on the online votes cast by members of ePractice.eu (membership is free and open to all).

Participate in the Information Day
The European Commission also invites all those interested in participating in the 4th European eGovernment Awards 2009 Information Day on 21 April 2009 in Brussels, Belgium.
The Information Day offers a unique opportunity to learn more about this year's awards edition, the submission and selection process and the European Ministerial eGovernment Conference entitled "Teaming up for the eUnion", to be held on 19 and 20 November 2009 in Malmö, Sweden.
At the Information Day, all those interested in submitting a case for the European eGovernment Awards 2009 will be able to ask questions and will have an opportunity to meet members of the European eGovernment Awards Consortium and European Commission representatives.
Participation in the Information Day is free of charge; however, registration must be performed on the ePractice.eu portal at www.epractice.eu/en/workshops/egovawards.
