The European Commission has published a call for tenders for the Maintenance and Upgrade of the ePractice.eu platform. The deadline for submissions is 2 October 2008, 4 p.m. CET.

According to the Tenders Specification, "the implementation and promotion of Good Practice through an online portal as well as facilitating offline sharing and encounters continues to be key issue, and the intention of the European Commission is to update and run a world leading Good Practice Exchange scheme for online electronic services in the public interest across Europe building on the ePractice.eu initiative or other similar European Commission initiatives."

To this end, the Commission proposes a budget estimate of 1.000.000 euros, for a duration of 36 months.

The objectives of the contract are the following:

-Maintenance of the ePractice technical platform

-Upgrade to ePractice 2.0

-Developing and running new services

In order to understand the nature of the tasks, the Commission invites the tenderers to get fully acquainted with the ePractice portal and its functionalities (www.ePractice.eu).A description of the features of the technical platform can be also found in the ePractice case.
