Description (short summary):
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the eEspaña annual report, Fundación Orange has published a special edition entitled '10 years of eEspaña' which provides an overview of what has happened during the last decade regarding the transformation of the Information Society in Spain.

The report shows ten dimensions which help understand the impact of new technologies in society over the past ten years: ICT sector, telecommunications, regulation, companies, technology, innovation, administration, education, society and citizens.

The selected format aims to provide an overview of this transformation from quantitative, qualitative and personal points of view with more than 100 charts of different items reflecting the transition, through 10 articles and 100 "macrotweets" (10x140 characters) written by different contributors involved in the development of the Information Society (IS) in Spain.

This study also includes three specific sections:

• Firstly, the 10 most important IS milestones of each year in the last decade, in Spain and in the world.
• Secondly, an analysis of several IS publications selected per year.
• Thirdly, an analysis of past tendencies, where the theory was one thing and in the end reality was another.

Overall this document forms a definitive study about the transformation process undergone by society due to the impact of technology in the first decade of the 21st century.
