Description (short summary):  
The purpose of the National Strategy for Digitalisation of the Danish Healthcare Service 2008-2012 is to establish a common framework for the full digitalisation of the health care service.

The strategy comprises the entire healthcare service and all efforts to promote public health, as well as prevention and treatment - including tasks performed by the individual citizen/patient. It is based on the overall goals of the digitalisation strategy for the public sector 2007-2010 and thus supports development towards an increasingly connected and efficient public sector.
