In the light of the adoption of the i2010 eGovernment action plan by the European Commission in April 2006, this document outlines the main milestones for efficiency and progress measurement related actions to be taken between 2007 and 2010. This planning document addresses successively: the EC measurement framework (including the update of the eEurope 20 basic services with new eGovernment benchmarking indicators), the set-up of national impact frameworks by Member States, the spreading of good practice (Good practice exchange, Benchlearning), the revision of legislation to break barriers to eGovernment, and the tracking of eGovernment impact in close cooperation with EU Member States.
