Formez is a non-profit association established by the Italian State and bringing together the Public Administration Department of the Prime Minister's Office and representatives of regional and local administrations. Tasked among others with conducting various research works, Formez aims to support the modernisation, competitiveness, efficiency of the Italian public administration at all levels of government, as well as to promote the internationalisation of public administration.

Based on a research conducted by Formez and published in 2006, the present document gives an overview of the eGovernment policies and strategies in each of the EU-25 countries.
