IFA 11th Global Conference on Ageing - 'Ageing Connects'

This conference provides a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary forum for networking and the sharing of information related to new research and evidence-based programmes and policies. It aims to have a positive impact on age-related policy and practice globally with particular interest in contributing to the dialogue in the Czech Republic and its region of Eastern Europe and the neighbouring region of Central Asia.

The conference themes are: 

• Older Persons and Development: Work and the ageing labour force, Access to knowledge, education and training, Income security, social protection/social security and poverty prevention
• Advancing Health and Well-being into Old Age: Health promotion and well-being throughout life, Universal and equal access to health-care services, Mental health needs of older persons
• Ensuring Enabling and Supportive Environments: Housing and the living environment, Care and support for caregivers, Neglect, abuse and violence
• Connected Technologies: Connecting services and providers - eHealth, telehealth, telepresence and flips, Engaging generations - blogs, social networks and the digital divide, Enabling older people - assistive technology, devices and products
