Description

FOSS represents a potential of significant competitiveness gains of its adopters, both for public administrations as well as citizens and companies. Public administrations can play a unique role as a catalyst force in demonstrating the value of FOSS and in removing legal and organisational obstacles and inhibitors by acting as early adopters.

OSEPA aims to explore this potential through interregional cooperation and exchange of experiences. This one-day event brings together a number of Best Practices : European public organisations that succesfully integrated open source solutions in their ICT-environment.

The objective of this workshop is to offer a broad spectrum on valuable open source cases within European public administrations. The target audience is every public servant who is concerned about high-level e-Government services in his or her organisation : it managers, policital representatives, board members, managers.
