The Slovenian Presidency of the EU will organize on 11 February 2008 a major eGovernment Conference in Brdo. The event is specially designed to exchange knowledge, ideas and future plans about eGovernment between policy makers and high-level IT experts in Public Administration, as well as Universities and Industry.
Under the theme “Alliance with Usersâ€, the one-day eGovernment conference will highlight the three policy priorities of the Slovenian Presidency in the area of eGovernment: interoperability, eParticipation and eInclusion and the reduction of administrative burden. A set of plenary sessions as well as interactive and rolling on live cases presentations will revolve around those three core priorities.
The conference theme is to be understood as the need to form an alliance with users and to take steps together in the mentioned policy areas towards the creation of a modern public administration.
The high-level conferences will take place within the frame of the eGovernment days planned by the Slovenian Presidency. On the next two days following the "Alliance with Users" conference, the eGovernment days will feature the mid-term IDABC conference, organised by the IDABC programme of the European Commission’s General Directorate for Informatics.
