Description

Health Technology Assessment International (HTAi) - 7th Annual Meeting Dublin 2010 - 'Maximising the value of Health Technology Assessement'

Supporting healthcare decision making is the cornerstone of health technology assessment (HTA). In increasingly challenging economic conditions, budgets for HTA may be subject to scrutiny or restrictions while the role of HTA in optimising the use of healthcare resources to maximise patient outcomes is more important than ever.

The organisers are planning a high quality scientific meeting to allow healthcare practitioners, researchers, policy makers, administrators, industry representatives, consumer organizations, consultancies and other stakeholders explore how best to maximise the value of HTA.

The conference theme 'Maximising the Value of HTA' will be explored in three plenary sessions dedicated to Policy Issues, Methods, and International Collaboration, respectively. These and other themes will be further explored in workshops, parallel sessions and other presentations throughout the conference. The aim is for participants to learn, to engage and to share their experiences in the pursuit of best practice.

The agenda has been made available online at the event website.

Now that preregistration is closed, registration will be performed on-site. Those wishing to attend are however invited to complete the hard copy registration form and to bring it with them on the day of the event to speed up the registration process. Participation requires the payment of a fee (details can be found in the aforementioned registration form).
