Euro-Iberoamerican Congress ATEI 2010 - International Congress on "Media literacy and digital cultures"
The International Congress on "Media literacy and digital cultures", which is being held on occasion of the Spanish Presidency of the European Union and within the framework of ATEI, aims to provide an arena for the debate, reflection and analysis of initiatives, projects, research and trends in relation to media literacy In Europe and Latin America.
The event will include the participation of professionals, researchers, theorists and teachers from the principal European and Latin American institutions and universities, who will be presenting their thoughts and perspectives regarding the state and scope of "media literacy".
The main thematic areas of the congress will be:
- Digital competences/ Media competences
- Media educationTelevision and Media competences
- New languages and new narrativesMinors, digital cultures and media
- Active population and media literacy
- Intercultural communication and media literacy
- Digital migration and educational-cultural transformations
The call for papers for the Congress is now open. The deadline for the sending of abstracts is 26 February 2010 and for the final sending of papers 18 March 2010. Additional information on the deadlines and important dates can be found on the official event website.
