Description

National ePrescribing forum

The Electronic Prescribing (ePrescribing) programme at NHS Connecting for Health (NHS CFH) is helping to support the development and implementation of systems in hospitals to improve patient safety by reducing prescribing and administration errors.

ePrescribing systems will ultimately allow medications and other prescribed therapies to be managed electronically at every stage, from prescribing to supply and administration.

The ePrescribing programme is holding this learning forum for UK National Health System (NHS) staff to encourage the sharing of information and lessons learnt from trusts which have either implemented ePrescribing or are in the process of doing so, or are investigating the potential offered by such systems.

Delegates attending the forum can expect to:

  • Hear from and talk to NHS speakers sharing their own experiences of ePrescribing;
  • Visit 'market stalls' run by NHS trusts, NHS programmes and others including the team behind the recent report commissioned by NHS CFH, 'ePrescribing in hospitals - challenges and lessons learned';
  • Attend a range of specialist NHS-focused workshops;
  • Contribute to the development of a self-supporting, national ePrescribing community.

Additional information may be found on the event leaflet.
