2010 European Local Government Conference - ‘ICT and the Local Government Transformation in Europe’

The conference aims at discussing some of the cross European local governments’ transformation strategies, experiences and projects which are leading to a high quality and cost effective administration by leveraging the value of ICT. During the event, a presentation of top European experiences and a debate will help answering questions about these developments.

The topics discussed will be:

  • Strategies and Projects in Germany;
  • Electronic Document Management;
  • Marketing and Acceptance of e-Government Services;
  • A new approach in organising public services: Public Administrations as collaborative networks;
  • Smart City: new initiatives to serve the Community, the environment and the economic development.

The conference intends to bring together international and German Local Government Chief Information Officers (CIOs) as well as other pubic officials and leading ICT providers.
