Tecnimap 2010 - XI Conference on Information Technology for the Modernisation of Public Administration
TECNIMAP aims to share practices and experiences related with the usage of ICT and eGovernment services among Public Administrations. It constitutes the largest Spanish event about eGovernment and the main meeting point between ICT, public and private sector. Due to the coincidence with the Spanish Presidency of the EU, the 2010 event will also encourage the participation of other Member States and European Union Public Administrations.
TECNIMAP is organised around three different kinds of gatherings: expert panels, workshops and communications. These gatherings are organised around various thematic tracks. Due to the recent approval of the Malmö Ministerial Declaration, 2010 TECNIMAP will have a track linked to each of the priorities established in the Declaration, namely:
- Citizen and Businesses Services
- The role of eGovernment in the economy
- Efficient and sustainable Public Administrations
- Technical and legal enablers
National and European academics, companies and officials have been invited to take part in the expert panels and workshops, while the call for papers for the Communications is open to all the National and European Public Administrations. An award for the best communication at each Spanish Government level will be given, as well as for the communication received from a European Public Administration.
Besides the expert panels, workshops and communications, an exhibition area called EXPOTECNIMAP will be deployed. In near 200 stands, best-of-the-breed examples of how eGovernment helps in Spain and Europe to overcome the economic, social and environmental challenges will be exhibited.
The website of the event will have an English version in the following days.
The event is open to all. Participation is free of charge for public sector attendees and for invited private sector representatives. Registration can be performed online.
