Description

Swedish Information Day - European eGovernment Awards 2009

In order to promote the participation in the European eGovernment Awards 2009 of the cases submitted for the Guldlänken Awards, the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems, Vinnova, is hosting a Local Information Day in Stockholm. The Vinnova initiative is in line with the European eGovernment Awards 2009 Information Day hosted by the European Commission on 21 April 2009 in Brussels. Vinnova got inspired by the successful coordination and encouragement of participation in Austria, Italy and Netherlands for the 2007 Awards, and by the 'local information day pack' available on www.epractice.eu/awardsmediakit.

The Swedish Information Day offers an opportunity to participants to learn more about European eGovernment awards 2009, the submission and selection process, and also about the European Ministerial eGovernment Conference, entitled "Teaming up for the eUnion" which is to be held 19-20 November in Malmö, Sweden.

At the Information Day, all those interested in submitting a case for the European eGovernment Awards 2009 will be able to ask questions and will have the chance to meet members of the European eGovernment Awards Consortium and European Commission representatives.

Registration can be performed by sending an email to anna.bjurstrom@vinnova.se.

Further information about the European eGovernment Awards can be found here.
