Description

2nd eGovernment Interest Group F2F Meeting

The mission of W3C’s eGovernment Interest Group (eGov IG), part of the eGovernment Activity, is to explore how to improve access to government through better use of the Web and achieve better government transparency using open Web standards at any government level (local, state, national and multi-national). The eGov IG is designed as a forum to support researchers, developers, solution providers, and users of government services that use the Web as the delivery channel and enable broader collaboration across eGov practitioners.

The eGovernment Interest Group will hold its second face-to-face meeting. Sessions will mainly include issues such as Open Government Data, Participation and Citizen Engagement, use of Social Media in Government, Interoperability and others in the Group Note and future steps.

Participation is free and open to group members who should register using the online registration form. Deadline for registration is 5 March 2009. For non group members there is a separate page for participation.
