2nd IASTED International Symposium on Imaging and Signal Processing in Health Care and Technology - ISPHT 2012
In recent years, with the aid of engineering and information technology, image and signal processing has emerged as a high-tech field, generating innovation in such areas as medical imaging, health informatics, wireless and remote sensors, watermarking, Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine and medical cybernetics. Scientists and engineers in this field have recently been working towards such advances as developing virtual learning systems for training intravenous catheterisation and collecting blood samples, creating artificial organs that mimic natural human organs, conducting telemedicine and telediagnosis, performing surgeries with robots, creating a laboratory-on-a-chip, and watermarking medical data.
This conference will be an international forum for researchers and practitioners to exchange the latest research, results, and ideas in the areas of imaging and signal processing in healthcare and technology.
The topics of interest to be covered include, but are not limited to:
- Biomedical Signal Processing
- Healthcare Informatics
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- Medical Image Processing
- Medical Sensors
- Data Representation and Visualisation
- Nuclear Medicine
- Assistive Medical Technology
- Telerobotics and Telematics
- Rehabilitation Engineering
- Tele-home Healthcare and Telemedicine
- Surgery Simulations
The call for papers is open until 21 January 2012. Registration for the event is available online.
