TIC Santé Conference 2012 - 'Developing Health ICT competencies for better care'

In the context of the Digital Hospital Programme, Health ICT competencies are a necessary facilitator of the deployment and efficient use of the digital solutions proposed and implemented in health and medico-social institutions.

Like its previous editions, this two-day event will present various approaches and promote discussions between experts, professionals and users of the health system. In particular, it will revolve around four lines of work:

1. Health ICT: Tools or competencies?
2. Health ICT competencies to provide better care and to improve the treatment process
3. Health ICT competencies to train healthcare professionals and to improve their continuing education
4. Health ICT competencies of patients and homecare workers to improve both care and life quality

The event is aimed at a professional audience, trainers, supervisory staff, decision makers in the health and medico-social sectors and experts in the field of health ICT. It will consist of conferences, roundtables, workshops and lessons learnt meetings. The programmes of day 1 and day 2 can be consulted online.
