Description

Technology in Health - 'eHealth: Transforming Health and Social Care Services through Technology'

The need to deliver value for money is a key concern for the UK Government. Consequently, the government has renewed its interest in health IT and assistive technologies as it promotes early diagnosis and reorganises the NHS around a patient-centred, integrated approach to the provision of health and social care in the community.

This one-day event will explore how to best deliver value for money and the highest-level patient care in the National Health Service (NHS).

More precisely, the following issues are to be discussed:

  • NHS connecting for health: Providing better, safer care.
  • Moving forward with remote care. Do we still need more evidence?
  • Improving the safety and quality of patient care through technology.
  • Creating an inclusive and efficient health system: NHS Direct.
  • Providing high-quality, convenient services at less cost.
  • Using technology to integrate services on a local level: Liverpool Primary Care Trust (PCT).
  • Green Technology: The importance of sustainable ICT in the NHS.

Registration can be performed online with the payment of a fee.
