Seminar on ehealth for a healthier Norrbotten county

The health sector both in Sweden and in Europe is facing major challenges, as the demand for qualified healthcare professionals is increasing, while at the same time an aging and health-consuming population is constantly growing. In order to cope with the rising need for healthcare, new services and practices that enhance quality, efficiency and accessibility from distance are expected to bring solutions to the challenges. The demand for ehealth services increase as the demographic trends but also the patients' expectations for an accessible healthcare change. In this regard, the county of Norrbotten has been a pioneer.

During the seminar, a number of innovative ehealth projects will be presented. The event will be lively broadcasted to the medical centers of Jokkmokk, Älvsbyn, Haparanda, Övertorneå, Pajala, Överkalix, Arjeplog, Arvidsjaur, at the hospitals of Kalix, Lärkan, Gällivare and at the IT studio of the Kiruna hospital.
