Description

Xth Seminar on Medical Information Technology - ICT solutions in the work of nurses, midwives and emergency ward doctors

Medical Informatics is the application of computer hardware and software to medicine and, more broadly, to the entire health care system.

The introduction of information technology in the area of health results in the development of new testing and treatment. The application of information technology to the work of carers enables broader access to databases and statistics. The remote exchange of data between the patients and the medical staff allow increasing resource efficiency and reducing the costs of healthcare costs on the system.

The programme of the present seminar includes:

  • IT support to medical emergency systems - ICT and telemedicine in a hospital emergency ward;
  • Demand for nursing information systems;
  • Functionality of the Electronic Register of Nurses and Midwives;
  • The role of nurses in the management of individual health records and the implementation of the rights of patients as to their access to their records;
  • Patient safety and nursing - the application of information technology to monitoring;
  • Electronic health records - legal basis and practical applications.

Applications for participating are to be completed and sent online. The number of seats is limited.
