Digital Inclusion in eGovernment Conference
The aim of the Conference 'Digital Inclusion in eGovernment' is to promote Internet access and its use by all European citizens, especially through activities that support digital literacy and eAccessibility. Organised within the framework of the Conference Series Europe is Yours, this conference on eInclusion in eGovernment services falls within the New Digital Agenda for Europe of the EU Strategy 2020.
The principal objective of digital inclusion in eGovernment is to reach a wider uptake and best use of ICT and digital content by citizens when interacting with the Public Administration, an interaction that should take into account the barriers due to the digital gap and people with inclusion barriers.
The present event will cover the Valencian regional and local initiatives in the field of inclusive eGovernment, the presentation of the recently approved regional eGovernment law, and the exchange of best practices of some municipalities. The European Union co-funded 'Digital Inclusive e-Government' project (DIEGO), will be presented, as one of these best practice making eServices easy and accessible to all citizens.
