Description

Electronic Invoicing in Europe Conference

Within 5-8 years, structured eInvoicing will become the predominant invoicing method throughout Europe according to the final report of the Expert Group on eInvoicing.

Building on the report's recommendations, currently under public consultation (*), the 'Electronic Invoicing in Europe' conference hopes to create the discussion and debates that will contribute to the Commission's assessment of the different options available to facilitate the emergence of an interoperable pan-European eInvoicing environment.

Four sessions addressing the current obstacles to a full deployment of eInvoicing solutions are planned:

  • SMEs and eInvoicing;
  • Interoperability;
  • Standards;
  • Legal framework for electronic invoices.

Registration is now closed.

The Conference can be followed via web-stream on http://www.mityc.es/canalmityc/directo.aspx (please note the link will be functioning as of 27 April 2010 around 9:00 CET).

The conference agenda can be viewed here. Further information may be found at the event website.

(*) The report was open for consultation until 26 February 2010. The report together with information on the consultation is available at: http://ec.europa.eu/internal_market/payments/einvoicing/index_en.htm and http://ec.europa.eu/enterprise/sectors/ict/e-invoicing.
