Description

Workshop on eInvoicing in Denmark - "Be inspired by the Danish experiences of mandatory eInvoicing in the public sector"

The Danish government implemented eInvoicing by law in 2005 - making it mandatory for all suppliers to send electronic invoices to the public sector.

The present workshop aims to share the experiences gained in Denmark with other European countries.

By participating in this workshop, public sector representatives will learn about the Danish experiences and relate them to the conditions in their own country. Afterwards, the participants will have the possibility to join the Pan European Public Procurement Online (PEPPOL) conference (Malmö, Sweden 9 February 2010), and find out how PEPPOL can be their shortcut to many of the benefits that the Danish Government has achieved since 2005.

Since co-organizer NITA is participating actively in the PEPPOL pilot project, the workshop has been arranged in conjunction with the next PEPPOL conference, which gives the participants the possibility to join both events. Malmö is about half an hour by train from Copenhagen.

The event is open to all and free of charge. Registration can be performed by sending an e-mail to Helle Schade-Sørensen.

About the organizers:

The Danish National IT and Telecom Agency (NITA) is an agency within the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, which handles tasks within the area of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in relation to citizens and businesses and the public sector. The Agency for Governmental Management is part of the Danish Ministry of Finance.)
