Description

6th World Congress on Prevention of Diabetes and its Complications (WCPD 2010)

The aim of the congress is to provide the most complete panorama for a discussion looking to obtain what in real world is needed to enable efficient strategies and tools for better diabetes diagnosis, treatment and prevention at all levels.

The 6th WCPD provides an opportunity to enable a more effective communication between all people interested in diabetes prevention and its management. Attendees can learn from the experiences of others, especially discussing barriers encountered during prevention programme implementation. The event aims to have the translation of what has been learned in science into practical skills of prevention. It will encourage the adoption of best practices in diabetes prevention involving a good partnership between all relevant players.

There are twenty three topics to be discussed during the congress, one of which is the 'eHealth in diabetes prevention' that will focus on:

  • eHealth based information campaigns;
  • Electronic intervention programmes;
  • Electronic disease registries;
  • eHealth education.

Further information about the programme of the congress can be found here.

Registration is open and it can be performed online; it requires the payment of a fee.
