2nd Japan-EU Symposium on the 'New-Generation Network' and 'Future Internet'

This event's objective is to explore prospects for a deeper exchange and collaboration between the Japanese and European research communities in the area referred to as "New Generation Network (NWGN)" in Japan and "Future Internet (FI)" in Europe. Deeper collaboration between the research communities would be of mutual benefit for both sides, in particular as there are certain possibilities for cross participation in respective research programmes.

In this event, EU and Japanese researchers are offered an opportunity to be updated on the respective research status. It addresses both industry and academic interests and provides interested Japanese partners with the opportunity to participate in EU research related to the Future Internet. A broad set of research activities will furthermore be introduced, currently running in Japan and under the European 7th Framework Programme for collaborative research.

The event is free of charge and registration can be performed online. Even though registration is possible at the venue on the day of participation, pre-registration is recommended due to expected congestion of participants.
