Description

The CASCADOSS National Information Workshop â€“ Hungary The CASCADOSS project aims at stimulating Global Monitoring for Environment and Security (GMES) services end-users to incorporate Open Source Geo-Information Systems & Remote Sensing (GIS&RS) technology into their working methods and decision-making processes.

The aim of this event is to provide specialists of the administration and decision-makers with a quick introduction to the CASCADOSS project and to the Open Source GIS benefits.

The organisers hosted on 27-30 January 2009 a regional Workshop of the CASCADOSS project together with a GRASS course in Szeged, Hungary. The Budapest Workshop will give a short summary of the issues addressed at the Szeged Workshop.
