Description

Rencontres Ouvertes du Multimédia et de l'Internet Citoyen et Solidaire (ROUMICS) 2009: Accessibility, Disability & ICT

This event will consist of lectures, debates, demonstrations and workshops in order to better understand the challenges of ICT in the field of disability.

Many players, however concerned by this issue, still remain with little or no information on, for instance, the legislative framework in effect, the potential uses and possible benefits for people with disabilities, the existing tools and methodologies to follow.

The main objectives of this event are:

  • to inform and educate the audience on 'Disability and ICT';
  • to provide relevant actions and initiatives on this subject;
  • to provide avenues for reflection and access to animation tools;
  • to encourage the exchange, dissemination and use of tools.

The agenda of the conference may be viewed here.

This event is open and registration can be performed online. The attendance fee is €10 and the expected number of participants will exceed 100.
