eris@ Annual Conference 2009: Regional Creativity and Innovation - Technologies, Methods and People

In its 15th edition as an annual conference of regional information society initiatives, and in its 10th year as the eris@ annual conference, Caceres 2009 will offer delegates a chance to hear about and discuss an agenda based around the key themes of innovation and creativity from the perspective of methods, technologies and projects that ensure people successful inclusion on the Knowledge Society. All this, within the framework of a year declared the "European year of Creativity and Innovation". In addition, the event will offer important opportunities for informal networking as well as a social programme directed to enhance the relationships amongst regions and countries. 

The Annual Conference is structured in three core sessions:

  • Session 1: Methods
    This session will be held on Thursday the 7th on the morning. Presentation and roundtables will deal with issues related to ICT innovative METHODS such as: DBE, Open Innovation, Living Labs, Clusters.
  • Session 2: Technologies
    This session will be held on Thursday the 7th on the afternoon. Presentations and roundtables are intended to gather intelligence on latest technology devices available in the field of ICT, namely: GRID, RFID, WEB 2.0, Broadband.
  • Session 3: People
    This session will be held on Friday the 8th on the morning. Presentations and roundtables will provide comprehensive information on topics related to ICT services for PEOPLE, with a special emphasis on: eInclusion, Women, Young, Elderly people.

Each one of these sessions will be structured as follows:

  • Introductory note
  • key-speech
  • policy perspective speech
  • regional best practices presentations
  • other presentations
  • round table

The programme of the conference will be updated regularly until the Conference will take place. The updated version of the programme is available here. Registration is free and may be performed either online or by downloading the version of the Word format and send it by email or fax to number +32 2 230 03 25. Expected participants to the event will be around 250.
