Description

Workshop "ICT for efficient government: the role of research"

The workshop will place emphasis on the role of technological research in achieving efficiency in government processes. Efficiency itself can be represented by measures such as the reduction of the administrative burden, the reduction of software costs, the achievement of vendor independence, the reassignment of human resources towards more productive duties and others.

The organisers will be accepting short abstracts (of not more than 150 words) from those wishing to give a presentation. Although all contributions on ICT raising efficiency of eGovernment are welcome, the workshop will place particular emphasis on the role of research in achieving this goal. The workshop will welcome success stories arising out of the FP6 research projects and support actions.

Additional information can be found in the workshop's call for participation.

This event is open to all eGovernment stakeholders, and in particular to:

  •  Representatives of eGovernment research projects in FP6
  • Researchers, interested practitioners and promotion experts

It is to be noted that places are limited. Abstracts submissions and expressions of interest in attending are to be sent via e-mail to eGovR@eurodyn.com by 30 April 2009. Participation is entirely free of charge.
